Thank you for your enquiry, please read this information entirely. Payment of a deposit to Enthusiast Wine Tours New Zealand is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Prices
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%. Any foreign currency calculations or quotes are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. All price quotations are valid for 14 days, after this time the quoted price is subject to change.
If you are travelling with us during or after the Rugby 2011 games we recommend booking well in advance to secure your tour dates.
All inclusions are clearly listed in your itinerary and/or website. Personal items and other expenses such as (but not limited to) international or domestic flights, meals, travel insurance, medical costs, phone calls, late check out charges, laundry, taxis, tipping, room service, optional extras, beverages, items of a personal nature and any cost variations as set out in this agreement are not included in the tour cost and must be paid for by you.
Deposit
A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking and begin making reservations for your tour. No reservations are made until the deposit has been received by us.
Payment
Full and final payment of your booking is required 60 days before the start of your tour with us. Failure to pay the final payment within this time may result in your booking being cancelled.
If your booking is made within 60 days of the commencement of your tour, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
Payment can be made by international money transfer / telegraphic transfer through your bank. Or you can pay by using your credit card (this incurs a 2.5 % service charge).
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled 60 days or more prior to travel shall forfeit any deposits.
Cancellation of part or all of the tour made within 60 days of the tour start date will incur the following charges:
60 – 45 days prior to the tour start date – 50% of the total tour price
44 – 30 days prior to the tour start date – 75% of the total tour price
29 days or less prior to the tour start date – 100% of the total tour price
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
Refunds
No refunds shall be given on any un-used or partially used accommodations, activities or part of the tour one the tour has begun.
In the circumstance that weather, travel delays, natural disasters or vehicle breakdown require changes to the itinerary, we will do our best to rearrange services but cannot be held financially responsible if any activity or part of the tour is cancelled due to factors beyond our control and will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred.
Domestic Flights
All domestic flights purchased are non refundable. Any changes to the itinerary that includes changing the flight times will require purchase of new tickets at your expense.
Variations by you
Any amendments requested by you within 14 days of the tour date will incur a charge of NZ$100 in addition to any costs relating to the amendment of the booking.
Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that all travel documents, passports and visas are valid for the duration of your tour. Please check with your airline if you are unsure.
Self Drive
All drivers must be nominated to drive a rental vehicle and must be aged over 21 and hold a full drivers licence. If the drivers licence is not written in English you will require a international drivers licence. A credit card is required to secure the rental vehicle, and the vehicle contract is between you and the nominated vehicle rental company. Full insurance is included in the itinerary cost.
Public Holidays
We do our best to keep our costs competitive, but tours that include peak season holiday travel during Christmas and New Year may incur an additional charge by some accommodation providers. We will notify you if this affects your wine tour package.
Health and Fitness
All those participating in a tour with Enthusiast wine tours must warrant that they are reasonably fit and healthy. Those persons requiring medical or physical assistance must be accompanied by a suitably qualified companion. Enthusiast Wine tours, their driver or agents cannot provide this service.
We reserve the right and discretion to cancel the tour or certain events on the tour if they are not satisfied that the participant has sufficient capabilities of completing the activity safely. In the event that the discretion is not used and an accident or injury occurs the client acknowledges that no risk or liability will arise for Enthusiast Wine Tours and provides an indemnity in this respect.
Variations or Cancellations by Enthusiast Wine Tours
In the unlikely event that we have to amend or cancel the confirmed itinerary, due to circumstances arising beyond our control, we reserve the right to use different service or accommodation providers, amend or cancel arrangements.
If a scheduled tour is cancelled due to minimum numbers not met we will provide a full refund. Notice will be given of cancellation of the scheduled tour within 30- 45 days of the tour start date.
Substitiution of activity or accommodation
In the event that certain accommodation or a certain activity/winery is no longer available then Enthusiast Wine Tours may either substitute the activity, winery or accommodation for a similar product or where no similar product is available we may vary the itinerary to our sole discretion, including but not limited to shortening the tour period.
Law
The law of New Zealand applies to your contract with Enthusiast Wine tours. Any matter or disputes shall be resolved within and subject to the law and courts of New Zealand.
Risks and Liability
Some activities involve an element of risk and all clients must realise that there is no absolute guarantee of safety, participation in these activities is entirely at your own risk.
Enthusiast Wine Tours does not accept any legal liability for personal injury, death, delay, loss of any nature, property damage, inconvenience or additional expenses, resulting from acts, omissions or negligence whatsoever by Enthusiast Wine Tours or their chosen operators and suppliers.
All baggage and personal effects are the clients own responsibilty and we will not be held liable for any loss or damage to them.
Enthusiast Wine Tours is not liable for any event that is beyond its control, including (but not limited to) war, riot, severe weather conditions, natural disasters, industrial disputes, terrorist action, fire or other circumstances amounting to force majeure in law.
Other Terms
Enthusiast Wine tours has taken all reasonable steps to ensure all information on the website is correct. We reserve the right to amend the above terms, any conditions, content or prices displayed on the website at any time without notice.
